1.Firstly, Huge congratulations on your new release, How did it feel to jump to #1 on the iTunes chart?
Thank you! It was a crazy feeling, still hasn’t quite hit me but I am so thankful to everyone supporting the tune! 2. Have you got a favourite step in the process of making a track?
I like different steps for different reasons and I think making each track has a different approach so that’s a hard one 3. What do you like to do in your free time?
What’s that? Ha! I like to exercise and I love cooking! 4. Favourite track at the moment? Ooh that’s a very hard question! There are so many songs I love, definitely too hard to choose one
5. What's your favourite colour & why? I like green and yellow, I think subconsciously it’s because of the Jamaican flag but I’ve always been drawn to those colours
6. Who would you love to collab with & why? Okay so I’d love to collab with either Tarrus Riley, Mortimer, Lila Ike or Angel. I just really love all of their styles and tones of voice
7. What was your experience like being a part of BBC 1Xtra in Jamaica? It was a great honour. Still crazy to think I was involved but again it’s definitely something I’m thankful for
8. As an established independent artist, what advice can you give to up and coming artist's?
My biggest advice would be to stay true to who you are and also to try and learn as much about the business/legalities of the industry as you can.
9. What new projects can we look forward to over the coming months?
There’s about to be a video dropping for my new single ‘I Want You’ very soon, there’ll be more singles in the pipeline and in the not so distant future I’ll be releasing my debut album produced by Rory Stonelove (legend of the sound system and recently featured on the latest Beyoncé/Jay-Z album)
